The Kanchenjunga Trek, offered by Budget Trek Nepal, is an adventurous journey to one of the most remote and pristine trekking regions in Nepal, centered around the third-highest mountain in the world, Mt. The Kanchenjunga trek is considered one of the more challenging treks in Nepal. It involves long days of walking, crossing high-altitude passes, and requires good physical fitness. Prior trekking experience, particularly in high-altitude regions, is highly recommended
The best times for trekking are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November). These periods offer the most stable weather, clear skies, and stunning mountain views. The trek is possible in other seasons, but winter (December-February) is cold and monsoon (June-August) is rainy, making conditions more challenging
The standard Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek takes about 19 to 25 days, depending on your pace, rest days, and whether you do the North and South Base Camps. The North Base Camp trek can be completed in around 20 days, while the South Base Camp trek takes around 16 to 20 days
